How ironic that apparently, while Sandra Bullock worked on her Oscar-winning performance in ‘The Blind Side’ – she was being blindsided by her husband Jesse James!
The internet is aflutter today with gossip about the Bullock/James marriage and the apparent infidelity. There are also reports of Jesse’s apology, which should say something to those who think infidelity is okay or make light of it.
What do you think about this story? What does it say about the rest of us and relationships?
If the infidelity allegations are true I think it is indeed sad that another marriage is in trouble because someone, somewhere didn’t follow through on their promise to remain true to their partner.

Therein lies the big question. Well, maybe for some of us. I know the way Carol Leifer was treated and/or perceived by her heterosexual female teammates on last night’s season premiere episode of Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice hit me funny.
It might be just me, but I wondered if the fact Carol got ‘thrown under the bus’ first had anything to do with subtle homophobic feelings other female contestants on her team felt towards her?
I’m not saying those feelings are big, intentional or even conscious. But, perhaps they were there, subtly affecting the perceptions of the heterosexual women on Carol’s team. Either way it was a hard position for all the women. Perhaps Carol really was the ‘weakest link’?
I know that one tense conflict we were shown during the contest was Holly asking Carol to get out front to bring in to identify and bring in bigger donors and Carol not listening. And Carol stating that Holly ‘didn’t want to break a nail’ to work harder. Meow, cat fight!
One thing I noticed is this: Cyndi Lauper stuck to her guns and wouldn’t talk anyone down, including Leifer. True, blue gay friendly that’s Cyndi.

Single lesbians over 35 need look no further than Lez Rendezvous…a one-of-a-kind alternative to finding friends and that special someone
Summerfield, FL – March 5, 2010 – A year ago, Barb Elgin (AKA ‘Coach Sappho’), launched Lez Rendezvous, a social community for single lesbians 35 and up. This month, Lez Rendezvous celebrates her first birthday. “Wow, this has been an incredible year for the women of Lez Rendezvous,†reports Ms. Elgin, a 40-something lesbian herself. “Lez Rez, as we affectionately call her, has become a lifeline for the 35 plus lesbian who is ready to meet like-minded lesbians for friendship and romance.â€
Elgin says, “The 35 plus lesbian understands herself much better than she did even just five years ago. She’s learned more about what she does (and doesn’t) want and need when it comes to long-term love. Lesbians 35 and over are wise enough now to know they must not only be more selective in discovering who is a great partner for them but they must also learn how to be a great partner.

I happened across a fantastic article today on the gaygirlsguide.net site on the many benefits of sex, beyond how great it feels! Yes, ladies, now you have rational reasons for enjoying a vibrant sexual life.
Sex is great for your health, whether you are single and taking matters ‘into your own hands’ or you are in a committed, monogamous relationship (yes, I just had to put those boundaries on it because sex within a committed monogamous relationship is the safest and most satisfying sex of all)…
For example, did you know that chemicals released when you are making love lowers your cholesterol? Even moi, the lesbian love guru didn’t know…I just LOVE learning something new like this every day!
So, indulge yourself. Click here now to read Simone McGill’s article and learn more examples of how regular sex ‘greases the skids’ for greater physical and mental health. Â
And, here is one final ooh-la-la for you: Be sure to check out the ‘recommended readings’ Simone lists at the end of her article. More information on the joys of a great sex life await you…
